General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that there’s been a lot of mention of Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) as of late. Christina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) has been quick to mention multiple times that she not only wants to avenge baby Adele’s passing by getting Ava Jerome (Maura West) sent to prison but also to avenge her brother.
After all, Ava was behind Morgan’s mental health meltdown by tampering, which led to the events surrounding his demise.
Generally, when long-gone characters are mentioned in soaps, this could hint at a possible comeback. As actor Chad Duell, who plays Michael Corinthos, recently announced his exit in the New Year, it’s hard not to speculate that Morgan could return following his brother’s departure.
Morgan’s return could help console Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) during their time of need.
GH spoilers note that executive producer Frank Valentini recently stated there are no plans to recast Michael. This essentially means Michael will exit storylines, and his departure could open a door for a potential return in the future.
To make Michael’s exit impactful, GH writers might introduce a storyline where he is presumed dead.
Would the show have Carly and Sonny suffer through two tragic child losses, considering the pain they endured when they lost Morgan? While Bryan Craig reprised his Morgan role this past summer, it was for a short one-episode stint.
During that episode in August, Morgan convinced Sonny not to jump off the hospital roof, leading Sonny to seek help for his mental health. Still, it was unclear if Morgan appeared as a ghost or a hallucination.
Could Morgan return, either before or after Michael’s exit? This would certainly ease Carly and Sonny’s mourning. After all, the miracle of having one of their sons return would be incredible.
It might also add hope to Michael’s situation, depending on how his exit unfolds. Could Michael leave only for Morgan to return?
