Although Steffy is very happy that Ridge has finally left Brooke and returned to her mother, Taylor remains concerned. She believes Brooke will try to win Ridge back and fears that Ridge might be swayed by Brooke’s words.
True to her concern, Brooke eventually meets Ridge and explains her plan to him. She promises Ridge that she will reclaim the company for him and urges him to trust her again.
However, Ridge appears skeptical about Brooke’s claims, suspecting that it might be a cover for a betrayal.
Additionally, Steffy overhears the conversation between Brooke and Ridge and immediately assumes Brooke is lying. As a result, Steffy tries to warn Ridge not to trust Brooke, believing that Brooke is merely trying to deceive him.
It seems impossible that Brooke could persuade Carter to sign the LC papers, given that he was the one who came up with this scheme. Thus, Ridge listens to Steffy, concludes that Brooke is lying, and dismisses her unrealistic plan.
Will Brooke continue with her plan to prove to Ridge that she is not lying?
