Nick investigates and discovers the truth: Alan Martin is actually Martin Grayson, a mentally unstable man with a violent past who escaped from a psychiatric hospital. Fueled by delusions, Martin believes Phyllis and Sharon conspired against him, and he wants revenge.
Meanwhile, Chance Chancellor, a former FBI agent, uncovers Martin’s identity and dark history. His diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia and a trail of violence raise alarm bells. Sharon, terrified, pleads to stay out of it. Phyllis, just as shaken, agrees.
