Days of Our Lives Promo: Explosive Returns, Surprising Proposals, and Dark Deals – All in One Wild Anniversary Week!

I have your weekly promo, including the spoilers tied to it, with Vivian Alamain offering Kate Roberts a dark deal she’s embracing. There are four huge returns, two marriage proposals, and four anniversaries being celebrated.

I’ve sorted it and grouped it so it makes sense. When you actually see it, you’ll recognize the chaos, and hopefully, what I’ve done will clarify it for you.

I have a lot of information, so I’m going to talk a little faster today so this isn’t a super long video.

The first set of scenes that belong together are scenes 3, 6, and 8 of this 12-scene promo. It includes three of the four big returns. Belle Black is back in Salem—she’s at her parents’ place, and Marlena is thrilled to see her. They squeal and hug. Next, we have Paul Narita back in town, who’s in the park asking Brady, Tate, and Johnny if they can keep a secret—he’s planning to propose to Johnny’s cousin, Andrew Donovan, the third big return. Then we see a scene at Marlena and John’s place with Paul down on one knee proposing. Andrew is shocked and thrilled.

There’s also a scene of Kristen at their townhouse, fiddling with a flower arrangement while Marlena swats her hand away in annoyance. According to spoilers, Paul, Belle, and Andrew are in town for John and Marlena’s anniversary. Their last marriage anniversary was November 8, 2018, but let’s not forget their other anniversaries: August 22, 1986; July 6, 1999; March 27, 2002; December 7, 2006; and August 22, 2018.

What’s odd is that Drake Hogestyn’s last scenes already aired in September, so I assume Marlena may say John’s off searching for “Katina Melonas Green” to save her from killer Clyde, who broke out of prison. Belle and Paul are back on Friday the 8th, along with Andrew, coinciding with the anniversary. That’s one of the two proposals, four anniversaries, and three of the four returns.

In scene 4, we hear Rafe Hernandez saying, “I want to spend the rest of my life with Jada.” Rafe proposes to Jada at the hospital, and while it’s not the most romantic place, there’s a reason they’re there. On Tuesday, November 5, Jada confronts Vivian at the Salem Inn. That same day, Rafe and Javi Hernandez, his new cousin, debate the family heirloom ring. Javi’s mom sent it to Rafe due to issues with her son, Javi. It sounds like Rafe may end up with the ring, though he likely has a few spare engagement rings, considering his record with relationships.

On Wednesday, November 6, Rafe rushes to help Jada, gun drawn, as he heads into Philip’s hotel room. Vivian ends up conked out and handcuffed on the floor, possibly leading Rafe and Jada to the hospital for her checkup or due to a scuffle.

In scene 5, Holly is trying to win back Tate, who recently hooked up with her friend, Sofia. Holly asks Tate if he’d take her back, and they hug. Spoilers reveal that Tate tells his dad, Brady, he’s got “two big problems.” He likes Holly, despite her past mistakes, but also Sofia, who he just slept with. On Tuesday, Sofia tries to talk to Holly about her and Tate, but it looks like Holly may not want to hear it.

In scene 7, Vivian offers Kate a dark deal, saying, “Come back to the dark side.” Kate shakes on it, though it’s unclear if she’s fully in on the deal. She’s also trying to keep Philip away from Vivian.

Scenes 9 and 12 feature Julie welcoming JJ back to Salem. He’s in town after officiating Chad’s wedding to a conwoman. Julie tearfully looks at an old photo of herself and Doug, celebrating another anniversary. Doug’s funeral tribute will air in December, marking Days of Our Lives‘ 15,000th episode.

Scene 1 and 10 highlight Sarah wishing Maggie a happy anniversary. Brady also brings Maggie a gift for her and Victor’s November 8, 2011, wedding. This may also be when Brady confronts Kristen about her deception regarding Sarah and the serum.

Finally, scenes with Kate, Roman, and Paulina toasting at the mayor’s place likely commemorate another anniversary.
