Tanner Novlan Shares Heartbreaking Loss of His Beloved Grandmother
The Bold and the Beautiful star Tanner Novlan recently shared the sad news of a personal loss, which has prompted an outpouring of love and support from fans and castmates. Earlier this week, Tanner revealed on Instagram that his beloved grandmother, Beatrice Evelyn Novlan, passed away on February 13 at the age of 93.
In an emotional post, Tanner shared a heartfelt tribute alongside a photo, writing, “The most patient teacher, best vegetable gardener, and most amazing grandma I could ever ask for. I’ll miss you.”
The post was met with an outpouring of condolences from his B&B co-stars, including Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, Scott Clifton, Katrina Bowden, and Annika Noelle, who expressed their sympathies in the comments.
According to her obituary, Grandma Bea was a post-World War II teacher who championed girls’ education during a time when it was rare for them to attend school. An avid gardener and loving grandmother, she often dropped everything to read to her grandchildren. Beatrice is survived by her sister, her children, and her grandchildren.
Tanner’s wife, former B&B actress and The Vampire Diaries star Kayla Ewell, also took to Instagram on Valentine’s Day to share a series of supportive photos, standing by her husband during this tough time. Tanner and Kayla, married since 2015, share a daughter, Poppy Marie, born on July 16, 2019.
Tanner has been portraying Dr. John Finnegan on The Bold and the Beautiful since July 2020. Before joining the soap, he gained recognition as a struggling actor in a Liberty Mutual commercial in 2019.
