This week, Malibu’s Franklin Fire erupted, spreading quickly and putting countless lives and homes at risk. Unfortunately, Davidson and her family were among those affected. While evacuation orders were issued, firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the blaze. By Thursday, December 12, the fire was under control, and evacuation orders for Davidson’s home were lifted.
Davidson took to Instagram to share her experience, posting several photos, including one of her home surrounded by an eerie orange haze and snapshots of packed luggage and treasured photo albums. Her caption began, “The last few days have been a nightmare. Thank God we were spared.” She went on to describe the harrowing experience of being under an evacuation warning for 48 hours, expressing immense gratitude to the firefighters and first responders who worked to control the fire.
Davidson also shared her heartbreak for those who lost their homes, noting the support from Y&R cast members and fans. Her post quickly garnered support from her co-stars and fans alike. Tracy E. Bregman, who plays Lauren Fenmore, empathized deeply, having lost her own home during the Woolsey Fire in 2018, and responded with heartfelt emojis to show her support. Greg Rikaart (Y&R’s Kevin Fisher) commented, “So glad you’re all okay,” with two heart emojis. Other soap stars, such as Kristian Alfonso (Days of Our Lives’ Hope Williams Brady), Galen Gering (Days of Our Lives’ Rafe Hernandez), and Y&R alum Joseph A. Collins (ex-Matt Clark), also offered words of encouragement.
Fans of the show flooded the comments section with messages of relief and support, expressing their happiness that Davidson and her family were safe.
