The character of Kai Taylor is a new one on General Hospital, so fans are still getting to know this newcomer to Port Charles. He is played by Jens Austin Astrup, who made his debut in the Nov. 12, 2024 episode of the soap. Viewers might recognize the actor from his role as Terrell in the reboot of Gossip Girl on Max. Here’s everything we know about Kai so far!
Kai Taylor ran into Trina Robinson — literally! — at the Surf Lodge. There were some smiles and flirting as she apologized for spilling soda all over him, but when Josslyn Jacks told her pal who she was talking to, she saw red. Because Trina didn’t care that Kai was the star quarterback of the PCU football team leading them to playoffs… she just cared that he was supposed to be her project partner in art history, a class he’d never attended! Trina blasted Kai for dragging down her grade and he tried to apologize, explaining a tutor handled his academics and he hadn’t even realized he was signed up for that class. But his pleas were falling on deaf ears.
When Kai next ran into Trina at Volonino’s boxing gym, he again tried to make nice but she coldly informed him that she’d already requested a new partner for the group project and as soon as that was approved, they’d never have to speak again!
Clearly, Kai would very much like to speak to Trina again, so stay tuned to GH to see how this contentious relationship develops!
