Philip Makes a Stunning Announcement at Thanksgiving — and Justin Suggests a Familiar Fix When Dinner Burns
Tuesday, November 26, 2024: Today on Days of Our Lives, Stephanie tries to explain herself to Alex, who confronts Philip, whose announcement disrupts Thanksgiving festivities at the Pub.
At the Pub, Justin and Steve assemble Thanksgiving dinners to take to St. Luke’s. Kate joins them and relays that Roman is feeling better but is remaining upstairs. After the trio speculates that Hattie is responsible for the poisoned cupcakes, Kate leaves to run an errand.
Over the phone at home, Alex assures Joy he won’t tell Chanel about her and Johnny. Stephane comes to his door with turkey noodle soup, assuming he couldn’t handle a full Thanksgiving feast. She inquires about Joy (who Alex assures was just there to run lines) and tells him she took on a new client — his cousin, Philip. Alex doesn’t think Philip has a case since Victor clearly left everything to Xander.
As they debate the issue, Stephanie says she took on Philip because she cares about him. Stunning Alex, she reveals they were engaged, but she forced Philip to choose between her and Victor. Alex can’t believe Philip would choose his father. She thinks Alex would have, too, but she has her own regrets about the way she handled things. Taken back, Alex asks if she’s trying to get back together with Philip.
In his hotel room, Philip answers a call from Vivian, who is in prison. Annoyed, he assures her that since she forged Victor’s letter, she’ll still get a cut of his inheritance. He hangs up when Kate comes to the door. As they discuss the plan, Philip reveals he hired Stephanie to get the public on his side. Kate thinks it’s a great idea, but worries about his history with her.
Bonnie excitedly welcomes home Sarah, who inches her way into the Kiriakis mansion using a cane. Teary-eyed, Bonnie likens Sarah walking to her Body and Soul character getting the begonia serum. She rushes off to ensure there are places for them at Thanksgiving dinner.
Alone at the Pub, Steve asks Justin for his legal opinion on Cat Greene. Justin doesn’t understand how she was set free, either. He gets a text message and quips to Steve he might need one of the Thanksgiving dinners because Bonnie was promoted to head chef.
Maggie comes home to find Bonnie in an apron. Bonnie relays that Cook ate a tainted cupcake and is down for the count. But she’s preparing to deep fry a turkey in peanut oil. Maggie tells her it’s best to do that outside as the smoke alarm goes off. Later, Bonnie laments almost burning the house down but insists she can still serve side dishes. Maggie advises her to just take it easy. The only thing that matters is that they all have each other.
As Kayla arrives at the Pub, Bonnie calls Justin to bring takeout turkey. Justin doesn’t think they have that and suggests picking up pizza. “Pizza? On Thanksgiving?!” Bonnie says, cringing. “I know it’s not traditional,” Justin says, “but some families do.” (if you know you know!) Kayla interrupts to tell Justin pizza would be sacrilege. He should invite everyone there.
In their room, Sarah tells Xander she would have had a good life even if she weren’t able to walk. Xander was fully prepared to hand over Titan to get the serum, but now, there’s no way in hell he’ll do that. He knows Philip will come for Titan, but vows his brother will regret it. He promises their battle will only be fought in court, though. All that matters now is that Sarah’s home and on the road to recovery. “I have everything I need right here.” They passionately kiss and fall back on the bed.
In his Salem Inn room, Philip insists his and Stephanie’s past won’t be a problem, but Kate reminds him of his obsession with Chloe. Philip assures her that part of his life is over. Kate warns that Stephanie has feelings for Alex, and if he gets in the middle of them, she worries she’ll see his leg floating down Salem River again. She recalls how awful it was believing he was dead. Philip vows it won’t happen again. He is a changed man and is not getting back together with Stephanie. Appeased (ish), Kate invites her son to Thanksgiving at the Pub.
At Alex’s, Stephanie declares she and Philip are ancient history. They exchange strained pleasantries, and she leaves for Thanksgiving with her family.
At the mansion, Bonnie tells Maggie they’re having dinner at the Pub. Upstairs, Sarah and Xander prepare for round two in bed when Maggie knocks. Through a crack in the door, Maggie tells them they’ve been invited to the Pub. Xander signals to Sarah not to accept. Sarah tells Maggie she’ll see how she’s feeling after she rests — but Maggie should definitely go ahead without them.
Bonnie, Justin and Alex meet outside the Pub. Justin knows it’s been an adjustment for Alex, but he’s happy as hell to have his son back. Inside, Stephanie, Steve and Kayla video chat with Joey and Tripp. Kate and Philip enter through the kitchen as the Kiriakises come in through the front. “Hey, cuz,” Philip deadpans to Alex. “Long time.” Stephanie’s uncomfortable glance drifts between them.
Later, Maggie arrives as Philip approaches Alex and Stephanie. Alex warns his cousin that Xander has been through hell. The last thing he needs is Philip trying to steal what’s rightfully his. “Can you let this go?” he asks. Philip can’t. Philip is then shocked to see Sarah walking as she enters with Xander.
As everyone sits to eat, Kayla talks of those they’ve lost and how grateful they are that Sarah got her miracle. It’s wonderful they can all celebrate together in spite of their differences. Philip adds how happy he is to spend the holiday with the Kriakises. They will always be family, “Even though I have kicked Xander to the curb and replaced him as head of Titan.” Kate beams as everyone else gapes. Xander’s expression hardens.
Next on Days of Our Lives, EJ wants an apology from Gabi, and Chanel has good news for Paulina.
