Two Forrester Men Missing From Bold and the Beautiful: Are They Fired?
Rumor has it that two Forrester men, Matthew Atkinson (Thomas) and Joshua Hoffman (RJ), have been fired from The Bold and the Beautiful. Is it true? Let’s find out.

We all know Thomas Forrester, played by Matthew Atkinson, has been MIA since March 2024. After Hope turned down his proposal, he packed up his bags and left for Paris. In September, he returned with his son, Douglas, and his new fiancée, Paris. Fans were hopeful this meant he was back for the long haul. Unfortunately, Thomas and his little family graced our screens for barely a week before vanishing again.
But he isn’t the only Forrester missing right now. RJ Forrester has also disappeared, and his exit was just as abrupt. Remember how RJ was in love with Luna, only to discover she was a cold-blooded killer responsible for two deaths? Poor RJ was crushed when the truth came out. Luna was clearly just using him, and his heartbreak was real. Since then, RJ has been completely off the grid.
If we had to guess, we’d say he’s probably back to doing what he does best—traveling the world and living his best life as a social media influencer. Let’s be honest, the whole designing thing was never really his jam; he only did it because Ridge pushed him to.
The Real Question: When Are They Coming Back?
Sadly, the answer isn’t what fans hoped. While there hasn’t been any official announcement from B&B, the signs are pretty clear. Both Atkinson and Hoffman’s names have been removed from the show’s opening credits.
The new sequence, shown starting with the December 30th episode, is missing both Atkinson and Hoffman. That’s a major red flag, as name removal usually indicates that contract players have been dropped to recurring status.
If that wasn’t enough of a clue, the writing has been on the wall for a while. Think about it: when Forrester Creations was taken over by Carter and Hope, RJ wasn’t even mentioned, despite his dad being the former co-CEO and his mom the current one. Talk about being ghosted by your own family!
As for RJ, even though he was crazy about Luna, he hasn’t been involved in the fallout from her actions. Instead, Bill has been picking up the pieces and getting himself caught up in the mess.
What About Thomas?
Thomas’s absence is just as strange. He should be front and center with his sister and father locked in a heated battle to reclaim their company. But nope, he’s nowhere to be found.
Now that we’ve seen B&B’s new opening credits, it all makes sense. As much as we hate to say it, it looks like The Bold and the Beautiful is done with Thomas and RJ, at least for now—and at least as regulars.
