General Hospital spoilers teased that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has spent most of his life protecting Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). There was even a point in time when Jason got himself convicted of a crime so that he could make sure Michael was protected in prison.
It looks like the trend will continue when Sasha Corbin (Sophia Matson) learns that she is pregnant with Michael’s baby. Jason recently rescued Sasha from the clutches of Jen Sidwell (Carlo Roa). Sidwell had a grudge against Jason but, for some reason, spared his life in order to escape with the diamonds Holly Sutton (Emma Sams) stole from him.
Sidwell is still out there and could once again come after Sasha in order to get revenge on Holly—especially if Holly flees from Port Charles. That means Jason may make himself available to become Sasha’s bodyguard for the time being.
Sasha recently learned she was Cody Bell’s (Josh Kelly) first cousin. That means the romance between Sasha and Cody had to come to a crashing halt. Sasha was terribly upset when she found out the truth and slept with the very married Michael.
It seems likely that Sasha will soon realize she is pregnant. Given what happened the last time Sasha was pregnant, she’s likely to move Heaven and Earth to keep this baby. That could easily put Jason in familiar territory.
Years ago, Jason actually claimed to be Michael’s father instead of his twin brother AJ Quartermaine (last played by Sean Kanan decades ago). Jason claimed to be the father of Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) son, who grew up to become Michael.
In order to keep Michael’s marriage on the right track, she might actually do the same thing now. If Jason and Sasha do end up falling in love, it is very much Jason’s M.O. to claim the baby as his own—both to protect Michael and to make sure Sasha gets to keep her baby.
No matter what happens, it looks like lives are about to change forever in Port Charles!
