Tearful Announcement: Kristina Shares Sad News That Will Shock ‘General Hospital! Fans😭
General Hospital spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has a hard time saying no to his daughter, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi). Kristina blames Ava Jerome (Maura West) for the death of the baby she was carrying as a surrogate for her sister, Molly Lansing-Davis (Brooke Anne Smith), and Molly’s partner, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow).
As her pregnancy progressed, Kristina decided she wanted to keep the baby herself. During an intense confrontation with Ava, things took a tragic turn. Kristina recoiled from Ava’s touch and crashed into a window at the Metro Court. Not only did Kristina crash through the glass, but she also fell three stories and landed in the Metro Court pool.
Kristina almost died, but the staff at General Hospital saved her life. Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said for the baby. Ava was charged with attempted murder for Kristina and murder for the baby. She retained Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) as her lawyer, and it looks like Ric might succeed in getting Ava a not-guilty verdict.
Currently, Kristina is fueled by her desire for justice for her daughter and can’t think of anything else. When the trial appeared to be going in Ava’s favor, Kristina became even more unhinged. Instead of encouraging Kristina to seek therapy or find a healthier outlet, Sonny told her to lean into her desire for vengeance.
He also promised Kristina that if Ava is found innocent of the charges, he would take matters into his own hands. Kristina knows that Sonny recently killed FBI agent John Kates (Adam Harrington), so she’s likely hoping Ava will meet a similar fate.
However, Sonny and Ava share a daughter of their own, Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola), so Sonny may not be able to follow through. Perhaps Sonny hopes Kristina will find healthier coping mechanisms before it comes to that. But if he knows Kristina at all, he knows that’s unlikely.
In the end, Sonny may not be able to hurt Ava by taking her away forever. If he doesn’t, Kristina might take matters into her own hands and kill Ava herself.
Will Ava be found guilty or innocent? Will Sonny keep his promise to Kristina, or will she take matters into her own hands?
