Xander Presents Kristen With a Deadly Plan — and Kate Gets a Shock In Philip’s Hotel Room

Friday, November 1, 2024: Today on Days of Our Lives, Kate pleads Johnny’s case to Chanel, Johnny faces Joy on set, Philip expresses doubts to Vivian, Xander’s ready to go to extremes, and Tate sees Holly’s text after spending the night with Sophia.

Vivian approaches a shirtless Philip as he lies in his Salem Inn bed. She orders him to stop reading Victor’s letter. They have more important things to do! Vivian turns away as Philip puts on a robe. She tells him they need to fortify their position to stop Xander from turning Titan over to the DiMeras. Philip admits he’s having second thoughts about it because of Sarah.

At the DiMera mansion, a brooding Xander tells Kristen that he and Philip didn’t come to an agreement about trading Titan for the serum. However, he has a better way to make that happen: “Philip has to die for real.” Kristen scoffs, wondering if Xander is prepared to kill his brother in cold blood. Xander’s not, but he’s pretty sure she is. When she balks, Xander reminds her she’s asked him to kill more than a few people over the years. Kristen wants Titan, but not bad enough to kill for it. He’ll have to find another way to cut Philip off at the knees if he wants Sarah to walk again.

At home, Holly checks her phone, disappointed Tate hasn’t responded to her text. She muses that he’s still in bed.

Tate wakes up in his bed with Sophia. A condom wrapper lies on the nightstand. “So…” Sophia says with a smirk. “That happened.” They agree they didn’t expect it but are happy about it. As they kiss, Sophia gets a text message. She tells Tate her mom called her friend Brianna’s house looking for her because she lied that she slept there. Brianna covered for her, but she needs to deal with it. Tate goes to get them something to eat as Sophia calls her mom. In the living room, Tate checks his phone and sees Holly’s text about wanting to talk.

On the Body and Soul hospital set, Kate introduces Joy to Chanel and Johnny. Johnny forces a tense smile. Chanel gushes over meeting Joy at her great audition while Johnny and Joy pretend to be meeting for the first time. Johnny squirms as Joy and Chanel banter about their characters fighting over a man. Kate pulls Chanel away for a costume fitting and asks Johnny to show Joy around.

At the Salem Inn, Vivian tells Philip that Sarah made her bed when she crawled into Xander’s. Titan is Philip’s as deemed by Victor’s letter. She tells him to get dressed so they can get to work. He would like some privacy. She reminds him she carried him in her womb until he emerged naked and glorious. Cringing, he requests she never conjure up that image again.

In the Body and Soul office, Kate tells Chanel she has a soft spot for Johnny and hopes she gives him a second chance. She vividly remembers Johnny running through the house when she was married to his grandfather Stefano. “He was such a sweet boy,” Kate wistfully says. “Well, that sweet boy called me a cheating slut,” Chanel fires back. Kate isn’t excusing his horrible behavior, but men have a tendency to let their jealousy overwhelm them. Yes, Johnny hurt Chanel, but he didn’t go to the extremes he could have, like her son Philip once did over Chloe and Brady.

On set, Joy uncomfortably points out to Johnny how awkward the situation is. However, she hasn’t forgotten that he is married. She would never say anything in front of his boss and another actor. Wincing, Johnny says that actor is his wife. Shocked, Joy says she wouldn’t have been so nice if she had known Chanel was the one cheating on him. Johnny clears up his misconception. Joy quips if he had figured it out sooner he wouldn’t have come back to her hotel room.

At the townhouse, Tate stares at Holly’s message as Sophia comes out dressed in her work clothes from the previous night. As she declares she successfully covered with mother, she takes note of his stricken expression. He snaps out of it and offers her cereal for breakfast. She has to go but reiterates that she had a nice time. She pulls him in for a lingering kiss and leaves. In the hallway, Sophia leans on the closed door with a dreamy expression. Inside, Tate’s expression hardens as he looks at Holly’s text again.

At the Kiriakis mansion, Holly and Sarah catch each other up on their current dramas. Holly doesn’t think Tate wants anything to do with her since he hasn’t responded to her text. She finally gets a response from Tate: “Hey, I just got this.”

On set, Johnny asks Joy if they can forget the other night ever happened. She agrees that would be best. She hasn’t told anyone, even her mom, who found his wedding band in her hotel room. He appreciates her discretion because his wife can’t find out.

At B&S, Kate admits to Chanel she also selfishly wants her lead actress and director to get along for production reasons. The last thing she needs is for someone to come through the door with another problem. Xander storms in, ordering Kate to get her son to stop trying to kill his deal. She has no idea what he’s talking about. Stating that Philip is staying at the Salem Inn, Xander refuses to believe she’s not the one pulling his strings. He orders her to get Philip to back off. A confused Kate watches Xander abruptly leave.

Chanel returns to Joy and Johnny on set. Joy notes how much Johnny loves Chanel because he couldn’t stop talking about her while she was gone. After she leaves, Chanel decides to forgive Johnny. However, he is on probation and better not do anything else to screw this up.

In the townhouse, Tate thinks about Holly as she comes to the door. He apologizes for not responding to her text earlier. She assumes he was busy. Wearing a guilty expression, he says, “There’s something I need to tell you.”

Kate comes to Philip’s hotel room door with a key card, grumbling that this is the second time he’s returned without letting her know. She lets herself in. Vivian emerges from the connecting room. Kate shifts as the women glare at each other.

At home, Xander tells Victor’s portrait that if Kate can’t stop Philip, and Kristen won’t, then he just may have to kill the sonofabitch himself. Philip enters and the brothers stare each other down.
